South Tyrolean Wine & Alpine Pasture Trail, 4 days
Starting in the beautiful town of Merano, the first hiking stage in South Tyrol takes you on the longest ‘Waalweg’ (former irrigation channels), the Marlinger Waalweg to Lana, where you will be greeted by vast apple orchards. You continue through quiet deciduous forests to Tesomo and finally to Nals. A hiking stage full of highlights awaits you the next day as well. From Nals you hike on panoramic mountain trails to the wine town of Eppan and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere along the entire route of the South Tyrolean wine route. After a short transfer you will reach the provincial capital of Bozen, where you can immerse yourself in the typical Italian flair and end your hiking tour with a wonderful cappuccino or ‘Spritz”. Four days and two hiking stages creating lots of great memories – this is the best way to enjoy a short break.
